📚 DIRECTED LEARNING FRIDAYS — IMPORTANT REMINDER

Parents, here’s everything you need to know about Directed Learning Fridays! 👇

⭐ Fridays are OPTIONAL.
Your child does not have to attend, and we do NOT take attendance.
⚠️ BUT, if your child IS coming, you MUST sign them up!
This helps us know which students will be in the building each Friday.

If your child comes without being signed up, you will need to complete the sign-up before your child can join a classroom.

⏰ FRIDAY HOURS

8:15 AM – 1:00 PM

🏫 WHAT DOES FRIDAY LOOK LIKE?

• Students may be in a different classroom each week.
• Students will work with paraprofessionals and support staff.
• Activities may include lessons, activities, and IEP-related programs.
• Teachers, related services staff, and the behavior support team are using Fridays for planning and preparation and will not be working directly with students.

🍎 PLEASE SEND A LUNCH!

There is NO school lunch on Fridays.
Please send your child with a packed lunch and anything else they need to eat during the day.

💙 BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

Even though Fridays are optional and look a little different from a regular school day, our school expectations still apply.
Because we have fewer staff and behavior supports available on Fridays, students who display physical aggression or significant disruptive behavior may be sent home.
Continued behavioral concerns may result in a student no longer being able to attend Directed Learning Fridays.
